Offshore Industry

Explore the potential

The offshore industry has always been a leader in technology development. From automation and remote operations, to large structures that will have to withstand the strongest forces nature has to offer. AquaSim is optimized for calculation of slender, lightweight- and large volume structures, flexible configurations and coupled systems to environmental loads such as waves, currents, wind, impulse loads, and operational conditions in ALS, ULS and FLS.

Catenary lines with floating collars

More advanced mooring lines and cables with buoyancy elements can easily be modelled and analyzed. Configurations can be created, modified, and re-run for a wide range of environmental conditions. Both regular design-waves and irregular sea states can be generated from built-in wave generators, or imported from external sources. Non-linear response analyses can be evaluated for a wide range of applications including mooring, subsea cables and umbilical.

Spools in splash zones

Apply irregular sea – choose between JONSWAP, Pierson-Moskowitz, ITTC or user defined. Short- or long crested waves, symmetric direction distribution and random wave periods.

Mooring analysis

Mooring analysis of large scale installation and interactions, including challenging structures with closed volumes, large scale, etc are possible without limitations.

Large scaling mooring

Large-scale offshore structures and mooring systems can be analysed within a single integrated model. Environmental loads, structural response, and mooring forces can be evaluated throughout the simulation.
