AquaHarmony is an addon to the AquaSim package. It is a data processing tool for denoising and filtering of current measurements.

The basic concept of the software is to apply Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for denoising of measurements. Fourier analysis is the study of how general functions can be presented as the sum of simpler harmonic functions. This is reflected by the name AquaHarmony; harmonic functions. The measurements are decomposed into harmonic functions and filtered by setting criteria for how data should be filtered. The sum of these criteria is called the denoising condition. The filtered measurements may then be applied in further processing for e.g. Site Reports in accordance with NS9415.

AquaSim utilize several building blocks – or structural elements – to render the nature of structures. These facilitate for the modeling of simple as well as complex structures and operations. Nodes

Nodes are a computational resource in 3D space that describes the endpoints of the structural elements. Each node has six degrees of freedom and may be assigned custom properties to help the user to solve the problem investigated.

Contact AquaSim is leased as a fully integrated software on a yearly basis. The license user can hold and use the AquaSim software as long as the license user holds a valid software installation and terms and conditions are fulfilled. Please contact us for pricelist and solutions for your company.

AquaSim

AquaSim requires us to register and store user information relevant to billing (name, email, company, company registration number, and other applicable data). We also store the neccessary information to supply users with the correct licenses, including hardware identification, End User data, access logs where relevant, ip addresses, and information about versions and updates.

Personal correspondances and other information submitted willingly either through the website, email, telephone, or other contact is stored and processed internally in Aquastructures AS. Your permission for us to contact us is assumed should you communicate with us.

“Aquastructures” or “We” Aquastructures AS, the developers of AquaSim

“AquaSim” The full package of programs offered as AquaSim includes AquaEdit, AquaView, AquaHarmony, and any included tools, as well as any documentation bundled with the application.

“End User” is understood as the person that is to access any parts of AquaSim and extends to the legal entity the End User represents.

“Support” The expected support rendered by Aquastructures.

AquaSim is a result of many years of research at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). It was first launched in 2002, and up until today the software has been validated from analytical solutions and tank tests. The development of AquaSim started when the industry demanded an analysis tool providing possibilities to simulate structures deforming heavily under the influence of current, winds and waves. The indisputable advantage of the software is that it considers hydroelasticity, which means that structures deform under the influence of external loads. This forms a good basis for compliance studies and realistic calculations.
