In this case study you will establish a Roller in a rope system. Two vertical ropes (Rope 1 and Rope 2) of different lengths are attached to a beam. Two weights are attached to each rope ends. Two loops are attached to Rope 1, which are allowed to move up and down. The other end of the loop is tied to Rope 2. This is illustrated in the figure below, see (1) Static.

When the system is exposed to waves and currents, the beam will move up and down, and Rope 2 will displace due to drag forces. This will cause the loops to move up and down along Rope 1. See (2) Waves and current in the figure above.
