Aquaculture cage and mooring > Summary

Summary

Last reviewed version: 2.16.2

In this case study we have modelled an aquaculture facility in a 2 x 2 configuration of cages. Mooring components and terrain have been added to a prepared model. To simplify and increase effectiveness in modelling you have learned how to apply the properties library, duplication, and mirror of elements.

By adding a bathymetric bottom (terrain) to the model you have seen that the bottom chain achieves a more realistic configuration. You have also learned about the different system files that is generated when performing analyses. And that these are useful when evaluating the input and condition of your model.

Several results have been copied and transferred to a calculation sheet for future reference. In the next case study, you are to model the same aquaculture facility in a more simplified manner and compare results from this case study
