As an example, we would like to split the original avz-file into sections of 10. Meaning that each file should contain 10 timesteps. The output-file will be named _out.avs.

Press Execute to run PPFilter. The avz-file that is associated with this tutorial has a total of 45 steps. This means that 5 output-files will be generated; the first 4 will have 10 timesteps each and the last will have 6 timesteps.

By right-click one of these files > Open in > AquaView, we can see the results in AquaView. In the below figure, the run_01_out00020-00029.avs is loaded.
